Napoleon is the first episode of the BBC docudrama series Heroes and Villains. It first aired on BBC One on 12 November 2007 and tells the story of Napoleon Bonaparte and his role in the Siege of Toulon in 1793. The episode was filmed in Malta and Gozo from November 2006 to April 2007. The musical score, inspired by Beethoven, used a 70-piece orchestra and was completed in mid-2007. It was directed and written by Nick Murphy, with music by Daniel Pemberton.
