NGC 600
NGC 600 is an emission-line barred spiral galaxy in the constellation Cetus. It was discovered by William Herschel on September 10, 1785. The galaxy is about 70,000 light-years across and lies about 93 million light-years from the Milky Way. Its redshift is 0.0061, corresponding to a heliocentric velocity of around 1,842 km/s. It has apparent magnitudes of about V = 12.5 and B = 13.1, with an absolute V magnitude around -15.7. Other names for it include MCG -01-05-007 and PGC 5777, and it is part of a small galaxy group.
