The Invisible Woman (Italian: La donna invisibile) is a 1969 Italian drama film directed by Paolo Spinola. The screenplay is by Paolo Spinola, Dacia Maraini, and Ottavio Jemma. It stars Giovanna Ralli as Laura and Carla Gravina as Delfina. The cinematography is by Silvano Ippoliti, and the music is by Ennio Morricone. Release date: September 4, 1969. Language: Italian.
Plot
Laura realizes her husband Andrea no longer loves her and feels invisible in his life. He is more interested in Delfina, another woman who lives with them. Laura loves him, but her efforts to save the marriage fail, even after she admits to minor infidelities. During a hunting trip, Andrea accidentally shoots and kills Laura while aiming for a pheasant. He does not notice that she is dead and moves closer to Delfina. In a haunting moment, he calls Laura by name, unaware of the tragedy.
