Muppets Party Cruise
Muppets Party Cruise is a 2003 party video game based on The Muppets. It was developed by Mass Media and published by TDK Mediactive for PlayStation 2 and GameCube. This was the last Muppets video game before Disney bought the franchise in 2004.
Gameplay is simple and fun. The game features six playable Muppets—Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, Gonzo, Animal, and Pepe—and several non-playable characters like Statler and Waldorf, Rowlf, and the Swedish Chef. There are 30 mini-games (15 unlockable) and five cruise ship levels: Engine Room, Crew’s Quarters, Quality Cabins, Star Suites, and Royal Staterooms.
There are two play modes: long cruise and short cruise. In long cruise, you roam a tiled ship, roll a die to move, and enter doors around the ship to start multiplayer games or one-player lottery games to win more cruise credits. Winning multiplayer games earns party favors of the corresponding color, which help unlock more mini-games. When enough party favors are collected, the game ends and the total is saved to unlock extra content.
In short cruise, the first player picks a mini-game for everyone to play, but no party favors are won.
The game received average reviews from critics.
