Muntirayuq (Junín)
Muntirayuq (also spelled Monterrayoc) is a mountain in the Andes of Peru. It stands about 4,600 meters tall (roughly 15,100 feet). The peak is in the Junín Region, Jauja Province, Apata District. The name comes from Quechua: muntira means an ancient cloth cap or a bullfighter's hat, and -yuq means 'the one with', so Muntirayuq means "the one with a cap." Coordinates are about 11°44′S, 75°18′W.
