The Monte Stello massif is a chain of mountains in Corsica, forming the spine of Cap Corse in the island’s northeast. The highest peak is Cima di e Follicie, a little over 1,320 meters tall, with Monte Stello being another prominent summit in the range.

Geography: The massif runs about 40 kilometers north to south, from the tip of Cap Corse to the Col de Santo Stefano. The Col de Santo Stefano pass separates the Monte Stello massif from the Monte Astu massif. The area is part of Schistose Corsica, in the island’s northeast.

Rivers and gorges: On the western side of the pass, the Lugo (also called Campodata) stream rises and feeds the Aliso River. On the eastern side, the Bevinco river flows through the Lancone gorge.

Main peaks: Monte Stello; Cima di e Follicie.
