Monte Stello, also called Monte Stellu, is a mountain in the Haute-Corse department on the island of Corsica, France. It is the second highest peak in the Monte Stello massif, which forms the backbone of Cap Corse.

Location and surroundings: The summit lies near the borders of the communes of Olcani (northwest), Olmeta-di-Capocorso (west), and Brando (east). It is east of the village of Olmeta-di-Capocorso and west of Erbalunga on Corsica’s east coast.

Height and geography: Elevation is 1,306 m (4,285 ft); prominence 347 m; isolation 5.1 km from Cima di e Follicie to the north-northwest.

Geology: The mountain is made of Cretaceous rocks that originated as ocean floor rock (ophiolites) and were uplifted during the Alpine mountain-building period.

Hiking: The usual route starts from the hamlet of Pozzo. The ascent climbs about 1,000 m and takes roughly six and a half hours round trip. The hike is long but well-marked and not technically difficult, passing through maquis shrubland. At the summit there are wide views across northern Corsica.
