Montaña Rusa (Parque del Café)
Montaña Rusa was a steel roller coaster at Parque del Café in Montenegro, Quindío, Colombia. It was built by Schwarzkopf Industries and began life as Zambezi Zinger at Worlds of Fun in Kansas City, USA, opening in 1973. After operating there until 1997, the ride was moved to Parque del Café and reopened in 1999 as Montaña Rusa. The coaster was about 17 meters tall (around 56–57 feet), reached speeds of up to 66 km/h (41 mph), and was roughly 1,050 meters long with a ride time of about 2 minutes and 31 seconds. It was removed in 2025. The name Montaña Rusa means “Russian Mountain” in English.
