Monomorium bidentatum
Monomorium bidentatum is a species of ant in the subfamily Myrmicinae. It is native to Chile and Argentina, with the original description from Valdivia, Chile. Workers are about 3.5 mm long; they are dark brown, with mandibles, antennae and legs slightly lighter. Queens are about 4.5 mm long and look similar to workers. The species has several synonyms, including Notomyrmex bidentatum and Antichthonidris bidentatus; Antichthonidris was merged into Monomorium in 2001, so those names are no longer used. The binomial name is Monomorium bidentatum Mayr, 1887. It is listed as Vulnerable by the IUCN.
