Minamishinano, Nagano

Minamishinano was a village in Shimoina District, Nagano Prefecture, Japan. In 2003, about 2,250 people lived there, with a population density of 10.87 people per square kilometer. The area covered 206.90 square kilometers. On October 1, 2005, Minamishinano merged with the village of Kami into the city of Iida, and it no longer exists as a separate village.
