A Taste of Killing and Romance is a 1994 Hong Kong action romantic thriller directed by Veronica Chan. It stars Andy Lau and Anita Yuen as Ko Sau, a top hitman, and Yu-fung, a new female assassin who unknowingly works for the same organization run by Ice. They meet during missions, fall in love, and try to escape Ice’s control while being hunted by police inspector Tung Fai and other enemies.

The story follows a series of assassinations, betrayals, and tense standoffs as Ko and Yu-fung navigate loyalty, danger, and their growing feelings for each other. Key targets include Kwok Chung, a tainted witness, and Tsui Ka-sing, a wealthy businessman, with Ice pulling the strings and Wong Cheung acting as her enforcer. Ma Chi-chuen, a informant, is driven to insanity by the violence around him.

In the end, Ko is killed in a final confrontation with Wong. Yu-fung is shot by police after a dramatic showdown with Wong, and Ice is killed earlier in the course of the events. The film runs 90 minutes and is in Cantonese. It grossed HK$5,541,985 at the Hong Kong box office during its release from August 5 to August 29, 1994.
