Minamikaze
Minamikaze is Rimi Natsukawa’s debut EP, released on March 21, 2002. It runs 35 minutes and 14 seconds and features six Okinawan covers plus one original track, all in a J-pop, Shima uta, and traditional style under Victor Entertainment. The EP includes her hit single Nada Sōsō. It came after three singles, but Nada Sōsō is the only one that appears on the EP. Two other tracks are connected to the Okinawan band Begin: Irayoi Tsukiyohama, with music by Begin member Eishō Higa, and Hana, a Shoukichi Kina song Begin recorded on their Nada Sōsō single a year earlier. The same pattern of Okinawan covers with one original song continued on her full-length debut, Tida: Tida Kaji nu Umui, released about six months later.
