Mihail Pop (born 31 October 1955) is a Moldovan economist and politician. He served as Moldova’s Minister of Finance from 12 October 2005 to 31 March 2008. He then became the Secretary General of the Government, a role he held from 3 April 2008 to 25 September 2009. Earlier, he was Deputy Minister of Finance from 4 May 2005 to 12 October 2005. Pop was born in Serednie Vodiane in the Ukrainian SSR (now Ukraine) and is from an ethnic Romanian background in Zakarpattia Oblast.
