Microsoft Partner Network
Microsoft Partner Network (MPN) is Microsoft’s program to help technology companies build a business around Microsoft technologies. It used to be called the Microsoft Partner Program or MSPP. The network provides resources to a wide range of partners, vendors, and service providers.
As of March 16, 2022, about 400,000 partners are part of MPN. Partners include system integrators, original equipment manufacturers, independent software vendors, value-added resellers, telecoms, hosting services, marketing agencies, and resellers. The exact worldwide number is hard to pin down, but large partner communities have been noted in the United States and the United Kingdom, with the global total likely in the millions.
In 2009, the partner ecosystem generated about $8.70 in revenue for partner companies for every $1 Microsoft earned.
Companies can apply to become a Microsoft Certified Partner. Partner resources include the Microsoft Pinpoint online directory and the annual Worldwide Partner Conference. Individuals can become certified in Microsoft products through programs like the Microsoft Certified Professional.
