Mesoptiliinae is a subfamily of true weevils in the beetle family Curculionidae. It was named by Lacordaire in 1863. The group includes about 23 genera and around 40 described species. It sits in the larger classification: Kingdom Animalia, Phylum Arthropoda, Class Insecta, Order Coleoptera, Suborder Polyphaga, Infraorder Cucujiformia. Mesoptiliinae contains several tribes, including Carciliini, Laemosaccini, Magdalidini, and Mesoptiliini.
