Merluccius tasmanicus

Merluccius tasmanicus is a species of fish in the Merlucciidae family. It lives in the western Pacific, the southeastern Pacific, and the southwestern Atlantic. It was described in 2006 by Matallanas and Lloris. Some scientists consider it the same species as Merluccius australis, treating it as a synonym.
