Meredith Kinleigh is the stage name of Meredith Leigh Schmaltz (born February 21, 1994). She is an American Christian musician who makes contemporary worship and Christian pop music. She released her first project, the EP Beautiful Mess, in 2015.

Early life
Meredith was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and she grew up partly in Raeford, North Carolina. She later attended high school in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. Her parents are Pastor David Schmaltz and Andrea Schmaltz (née Rodriguez). She began singing at age ten at her father’s church in Fayetteville and later helped at Valley Church in Weldon, North Carolina, where she coordinated the children’s ministry. She wrote her first song at seventeen and went on to write about 70 songs in two years.

Music career
Her sister gave her the nickname Kenleigh, which Meredith later changed to Kinleigh. She started recording in 2015 with the EP Beautiful Mess, released on October 2, 2015, through Inov8 Music Group. She has been interviewed about her work, including a CMB Podcast appearance, and she was named by 365 Days of Inspiring Media as one of the top independent artists who could be signed by a major Christian label.
