Maryland Route 520 (MD 520), also known as Whites Neck Road, is a 2.61-mile state highway in western St. Mary’s County, Maryland. It runs from a dead end at a boat ramp on Whites Neck to MD 239 near Bushwood.

The road begins at the southern end of Whites Neck Creek at St. Catherine Sound, heads west and then north through farmland, veers northeast through a forested area, crosses Whites Neck Creek, and ends at MD 239 (Bushwood Wharf Road) near Bushwood.

History: MD 520 was built as a gravel road in 1933. It was widened and resurfaced with bituminous concrete in 1956 and has changed very little since then.

Location: The entire route is in the Bushwood area of St. Mary’s County and is maintained by the Maryland State Highway Administration. The southern end is a dead end near Bushwood, and the northern end connects to MD 239 near Bushwood.
