Manduca jasminearum
Manduca jasminearum, the ash sphinx, is a moth in the Sphingidae family. It lives in the eastern United States, from the Mississippi River to the Atlantic, and is common in the Northeast. It has a wingspan of about 84–105 mm. Adults have two generations each year and fly from May to September, feeding on nectar from flowers. The caterpillars mainly eat ash trees (Fraxinus), but have also been found on lilac (Syringa) and elm (Ulmus).
