Mamelon Point
Mamelon Point is a small coastal point on the east side of Graham Land, Antarctica, about 11 nautical miles (20 km) east-northeast of Cape Northrop along the Foyn Coast. It was first mapped in 1947 by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey and named Mamelon Island because it looked like a mamelon, a small rounded hill or fort. Later exploration showed it is not an island, and the name was changed to Mamelon Point.
