Loënga (West Frisian: Loaiïngea) is a neighbourhood of Sneek in Friesland, the Netherlands. It used to be a separate village in Wymbritseradiel and later Sneek, but in 1984 it was annexed by Sneek and is no longer independent. It is now part of the municipality of Súdwest-Fryslân. The place lies on a terp (an artificial living hill) and was first mentioned in 1335 as "in Loinghum," meaning "settlement of the people of Lode." A Dutch Reformed church from the 14th century stood there but was torn down in the 17th century; a small belfry was added to the cemetery in 1620. In 1840 it had about 70 residents, and around 2017 about 95. The area covers 2.75 km2 and sits about 0.5 m above sea level. The postal code is 8603 and the dialing code is 0515.
