Maksym Burbak
Maksym Yuriyovych Burbak, born January 13, 1976, in Chernivtsi, Ukraine, is a Ukrainian politician. He graduated with a law degree from Chernivtsi National University in 1998. He led the Chernivtsi regional organization of the Front for Change and later joined Batkivshchyna.
Burbak was elected to the Ukrainian Parliament in 2012 as a Batkivshchyna candidate and served as a People’s Deputy until 2019. In 2014 he was re-elected in district 204 (Chernivtsi Oblast) with about 24% of the vote, then joined the People’s Front. He became the parliamentary leader of the People’s Front faction on July 3, 2015.
From February 27 to December 2, 2014, he served as the Minister of Infrastructure in the first Yatsenyuk government (under acting President Turchynov). He did not return to the government in the second Yatsenyuk administration.
In 2019, Burbak ran as an independent in district 204 but lost. He is married with two children and is the President of the Interregional Agricultural Society in Chernivtsi.
