Magic Kingdom, Sydney
Magic Kingdom was a small amusement park in Lansvale, New South Wales, Australia. It opened in the 1970s and ran through the 1980s and into the early 1990s, closing soon after Wonderland Sydney opened. The park was promoted on TV with commercials using the Pilot song "Magic." Some rides came from Luna Park after it closed in 1979 following the Ghost Train tragedy. While popular at its peak, its small size and a road that passed through industrial and residential areas made it hard to stay viable. The site was sold in 2017, but flooding from nearby Prospect Creek limits redevelopment. The park covered about 36 acres (150,000 square meters).
