Madanpur Khadar Village
Madanpur Khadar Village is an urban village in the South East district of Delhi, India, located on the Delhi–UP border near the Yamuna river. It is named after Thakur Madan Singh Chauhan and lies on Khadar land, which means it sits along the riverbank. The village is about 800 years old and was declared an urban village in 1966.
Administratively, Madanpur Khadar falls under South East Delhi. The sub-division is Sarita Vihar, the office is in Amar Colony, and the DCP office is in Sarita Vihar. Sarita Vihar police station has jurisdiction over the village. A 350-bed government hospital is being built in the K&L Block area of Sarita Vihar.
A major project, the DND–KMP Expressway, started with a foundation stone laid in March 2019 by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. The 59-km six-lane highway will connect Ring Road and the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway, passing through Kalindi Kunj, Madanpur Khadar, Aali Village, Meethapur Chowk, and the Faridabad–Ballabhgarh bypass, and will end at the interchange with the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway at either the Western Peripheral Expressway or the Kundli–Manesar–Palwal Expressway. This project is expected to boost the area’s connectivity and appeal.
Madanpur Khadar is well-placed in South East Delhi, with the DND–KMP Expressway to the east, the Delhi–Mathura Highway to the west, and Kalindi Kunj Road to the north. It sits near the borders of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, making Noida and Faridabad reachable in about 10 minutes by road. The area is served by Delhi Transport Corporation buses; no specific metro station is noted for this locality.
