Macarena Portales
Macarena Portales Nieto (born 2 August 1998 in Madrid) is a Spanish footballer who plays as a forward for Atlético Madrid in Liga F. She joined Atlético Madrid’s youth academy in 2010 at age 13 and stayed there for five years before turning professional.
Portales’ senior career began in 2016 with Fundación Albacete. She then played for Zaragoza CFF (2017–2018; 28 appearances, 3 goals) and Sevilla (2018–2019; 18 appearances, 1 goal). From 2019 to 2021 she was with Real Madrid, playing 49 games and scoring 3 goals. She moved to Inter Milan for the 2021–2022 season (16 appearances, 0 goals). In 2022 she joined Valencia, where she played 33 games and scored 4 goals. She spent the 2024–2025 season with Levante Badalona (29 appearances, 2 goals) before joining Atlético Madrid in 2025 (8 appearances, 1 goal so far).
Internationally, Portales played for Spain’s U19 team from 2016 to 2017, earning six caps and scoring one goal. She made her debut for the Spain senior national team in 2024 and has at least one cap.
