LuxConnect is a private company created in 2006 by the Luxembourg government to build and operate Luxembourg’s digital infrastructure. It runs a national dark fiber network and four data centers, plus a high-performance computing (HPC) project and a sovereign-cloud initiative.

Network and data centers:
- Dark fiber: More than 1,800 km of optical fiber across Luxembourg, linking all commercial data centers for reliable, redundant connections.
- Data centers: Four carrier-neutral centers totaling about 15,000 square meters of net server space. Three centers are in Bettembourg and one in Bissen. All centers have Uptime Institute certifications, including DC1.1 (Tier IV Design, 2013), DC1.2 (Tier IV Design), DC2 (Tier IV and Tier II Design, 2014), and DC1.3 (Tier IV and Tier II Design, 2014). LuxConnect runs Luxembourg’s first green data center, cooled by an absorption refrigerator using waste heat from a cogeneration plant.

HPC and Cloud:
- MeluXina supercomputer: LuxProvide S.A., a wholly owned LuxConnect subsidiary, operates MeluXina in DC2 in Bissen.
- Clarence cloud: A joint venture with Proximus to create a sovereign cloud that keeps data on European soil under European law, with operations on European soil and under European jurisdictions.

People and contact:
- Headquarters: Bettembourg, Luxembourg. Employees: 27. Key people: Jacques Thill (Chairman), Paul Konsbruck (CEO), and Vincent Weynandt (CTO). Website: luxconnect.lu.
