Live the Night
“Live the Night” is a big room house song by Dutch DJs W&W and Hardwell, featuring American rapper Lil Jon. It runs 2 minutes 13 seconds and was released on July 11, 2016, through Mainstage Music. The track was written by Willem van Hanegem, Wardt van der Harst, Robbert van de Corput (Hardwell), and Jonathan Smith (Lil Jon), with W&W and Hardwell as producers.
History: Hardwell performed an early version at Ultra Music Festival in 2014. W&W first drafted the song at the Ministry of Sound Festival in 2013, when it was called “Let’s Rage.” They delayed the release because they were not satisfied with the instrumental. In 2015, Hardwell showed a near-final version called “We Got This” with vocals by Harrison Shaw, but that version was cancelled. The Lil Jon version premiered at Revealed Miami Edition at Nikki Beach Miami on March 16, 2016. At that time, it wasn’t clear which label would release the track or who would be credited as the primary producer.
