List of tsunamis in Europe
Europe has had some notable tsunamis, mainly in the Mediterranean Sea. The Mediterranean is prone to tsunamis because it has earthquakes, underwater landslides, and volcanoes. While most earthquakes happen near the Eurasian plate, tsunamis have also affected western Europe, including France, Norway, and the United Kingdom.
