List of UK Jazz & Blues Albums Chart number ones of 1999
The UK Jazz & Blues Albums Chart ranks the best-selling jazz and blues albums in the United Kingdom, using weekly sales, digital downloads and streams. In 1999, 52 charts were published and 14 different albums reached number one. The year started with Kind of Blue by Miles Davis, which stayed at number one for six weeks. The last number-one of the year was The Only Jazz Album You'll Ever Need, a multi-artist compilation, which held the top spot for the final three weeks. Kind of Blue was the most successful album of 1999, spending 19 weeks at number one in six separate spells, the longest run being six weeks in January and February. Salsa Fever! by Global Television was number one for eight consecutive weeks in the summer. Eric Clapton's Blues, another compilation, was the second most successful single-artist album with four weeks at number one. Four other albums each spent three weeks at number one in 1999: His Definitive Greatest Hits by B.B. King; When I Look in Your Eyes by Diana Krall; The Very Best of Latin Jazz 2; and The Only Jazz Album You'll Ever Need.
