List of Ender's Game series short stories
There are many Ender’s Game universe short stories. They come from several sources, including collections and magazines.
Where to find them
- First Meetings by Orson Scott Card: a short story collection that includes the original Ender’s Game novelette plus three other stories.
- Card’s webzine InterGalactic Medicine Show: the first four stories from the magazine—Mazer in Prison, Pretty Boy, Cheater, and A Young Man with Prospects—later appear in the paperback Orson Scott Card’s InterGalactic Medicine Show.
- Other science fiction anthologies: short stories from the Ender’s Game series are reprinted in various anthologies.

- The original Ender’s Game novelette: Card published it in August 1977 in Analog Science Fiction and Fact.
- A Xenocide-story: published in January 1991 Analog, introducing Han Fei-tzu, Han Qing-jao, and Si Wang-mu.
- A tale about Ender meeting the AI Jane and choosing to become a Speaker for the Dead.
- A story about John Paul Wiggin (Ender’s father) as a child catching the attention of the International Fleet.
- A story about John Paul Wiggin meeting and falling in love with Theresa Brown.
- A story centered on Mazer Rackham, a young Hyrum Graff, and the creation of Battle School.
- A story about Bonito “Bonzo” Madrid as a child deciding to go to Battle School.

Notable later releases
- A War of Gifts: An Ender Story (2016): a version that excludes the “Ender’s Stocking” chapter, created for the anthology Decision Points.
- Infinite Stars and related editions (2017): a short story told from Dabeet Ochoa’s point of view as he, Ender, and Valentine work to solve a murder on Catalunya.
- Ender’s Way (2021): a large collection of Ender-related short stories that includes previously online-published pieces.
- Infinite Stars: Dark Frontiers (scheduled release for 2019 in some listings): a space opera anthology that includes a new Ender story focusing on Hyrum Graff, possibly connecting to The Last Shadow.
- Other tales focus on Ender’s colony years, Graff’s career, and other characters’ lives in the Ender universe.
