List of Assassination Classroom episodes
Assassination Classroom is an anime based on Yūsei Matsui’s manga about Class 3-E at Kunugigaoka Junior High. They try to assassinate their unusual teacher, Koro-sensei, before graduation while learning important lessons along the way. The show was produced by Lerche and directed by Seiji Kishi. The first season aired on Fuji TV in Japan from January 9 to June 19, 2015. In North America, Funimation licensed it, streaming subtitles as it aired and releasing an English dub starting February 18, 2015. A second season ran from January 7 to June 30, 2016, with Funimation again simulcasting and releasing the broadcast dub starting February 10, 2016. A compilation film of the series and a film based on the spin-off Koro-sensei Q! opened in Japan on November 19, 2016. Before the TV series, an original video animation by Brain's Base was shown at Jump Super Anime Tour in October 2013 and bundled with the seventh manga volume on December 27, 2013. A second OVA, made by the TV series staff, screened at Jump Special Anime Fest in November 2014 and was included with the first Blu-ray/DVD on March 27, 2015. Toonami began airing Funimation’s English dub on August 30, 2020, and started season 2 on January 9, 2022.
