Joseph Nevels, born in Florence, Kentucky, is an American singer, songwriter, and lawyer who makes soul and indie R&B. He used to perform under the name JSPH. He played football at Simon Kenton High School, started at the University of Kentucky until a concussion ended his sports career, studied at Florida International University in Miami, and later earned a Juris Doctor from Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University.

His music blends soulful sounds with indie vibes and has drawn attention from Rolling Stone, NPR, Netflix, and Oprah Winfrey’s Queen Sugar. Rolling Stone called him an “Artist You Need To Know” and highlighted his single “Alive” as part of a rising career. His track “Breathe” appeared on Pharrell Williams’ OTHERtone on Apple Music’s Beats 1 and reached the international top 5. “ComeMyWay” was featured on Netflix’s On My Block, and Newsweek praised the soundtrack alongside artists like H.E.R., Brent Faiyaz, and Russ.
