Liberty Township, Henry County, Ohio

Liberty Township is one of 13 townships in Henry County, Ohio. As of the 2020 census, 2,442 people live there. It is in the northern part of the county. The village of Liberty Center is in the eastern part of the township, and part of the city of Napoleon (the county seat) is in the southwest part of Liberty Township. There are 25 Liberty Townships in Ohio, and this is one of them.

The township is governed by a three-member board of trustees. Trustees are elected in November of odd-numbered years to four-year terms beginning on January 1 after the election. Two trustees are elected in the year after a presidential election and one is elected in the year before it. There is also an elected township fiscal officer, who serves a four-year term beginning on April 1 of the year after the election, which is held in November of the year before the presidential election. Vacancies in the fiscal officer position or on the board are filled by the remaining trustees.

Public education in the township is provided by the Liberty Center Local School District.
