Liao Lisheng
Liao Lisheng is a Chinese professional footballer who plays as a midfielder. He was born on 29 April 1993 in Shenzhen, China, and is 1.80 meters tall. He currently plays for Shenzhen Peng City on loan from Chengdu Rongcheng, wearing number 6.
Early life and youth
Liao was born into a Teochew family in Shenzhen. He began football training at age nine with Guangxi Hercules Football School and later trained at Zhaoqing Sunray Cave, Gu Guangming, Shenzhen Kingway, and Dongguan Nancheng youth academies before turning professional.
Club career
- Dongguan Nancheng (2011–2012): Promoted to the first team and played in the lower divisions.
- Guangzhou FC (2013–2021): Joined a top-tier club and became part of their squad for several years.
- Tianjin Tianhai (2019, loan): Spent one season on loan.
- Shandong Taishan (2022–2024): Moved to another top club and helped them win the 2022 Chinese FA Cup.
- Chengdu Rongcheng (2025–): Joined Chengdu Rongcheng.
- Shenzhen Peng City (2025–, on loan): Sent on loan to his hometown club.
International career
Liao has represented China at the U19 and U22 levels and made his senior national team debut on 18 June 2014 in a 2–0 victory over Macedonia. He was part of the squad for the 2015 AFC Asian Cup (but did not play) and was named in the 2017 EAFF E-1 Football Championship squad, though he left the tournament early for the birth of his child.
