Li Bing (writer)
Li Bing (November 1949 – June 17, 2024) was a Chinese writer from Anda, Heilongjiang. He joined the Chinese Communist Party in 1972. He worked in the Communist Youth League, serving as deputy secretary of Heilongjiang CYL (1975–1978) and later as director of the CYL’s Youth Work Department from 1989, with other CYL roles along the way. From 1994 to 2008, he was deputy director of the State Council Information Office and the Central Office of Publicity for Foreign Countries. From 2008 to 2014, he held top posts in the Chinese Writers’ Association, including secretary of the Party Group, vice-chairman, and secretary of the Secretariat, and he was re-elected as vice-chairman from 2014 to 2016. He was an alternate member of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party. Li Bing died in Beijing on June 17, 2024, at age 75.
