Parosphromenus kishii

Parosphromenus kishii is a freshwater fish in the gourami family (Osphronemidae). It was first found in 1999 but was officially described as a new species in 2021. The species is known from only one river system and the surrounding swampy forest in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. Taxonomy: Kingdom Animalia; Phylum Chordata; Class Actinopterygii; Order Anabantiformes; Family Osphronemidae; Genus Parosphromenus; Species kishii. Binomial name: Parosphromenus kishii (Shi et al., 2021).
