Lewis Crocker
Lewis Crocker, nicknamed The Croc, is a Northern Irish professional boxer from Belfast. Born on 6 January 1997, he fights in the welterweight division with an orthodox stance and stands about 5 ft 9 in tall. He has a pro record of 22 wins from 22 fights, with 11 wins by knockout, and he has held the IBF welterweight title since 2025.
Crocker has won several regional titles, including the WBO European welterweight title in 2020 and the WBA Continental European Title after beating Tyrone McKenna in Belfast on 2 December 2023.
Amateur career: He boxed for Ireland under the Irish Amateur Boxing Association, starting at Cairn Lodge Boxing Club in Belfast before moving to Holy Trinity. In July 2011 he won bronze at the European Schoolboy Championships. He had 97 amateur bouts with 90 wins, including seven All-Ireland junior titles. He also competed at the European Youth Championships (2012) and World Junior Championships (2013). He is credited with the fastest knockout in Irish amateur boxing history, under 12 seconds, and won the 2015 KO of the Year. In 2018 he won an £8,500 settlement from the Ulster Boxing Council after a dispute over NI representation for the Commonwealth Youth Games, which he believed was due to his Protestant background.
Pro career: Crocker made his professional debut on 10 March 2017, winning his first bout by first-round technical knockout over Ferenc Jarko in Belfast. On 1 March 2025 he fought Paddy Donovan in a final eliminator for the IBF welterweight title in Belfast. Donovan knocked Crocker down near the end of the eighth round but was disqualified after the referee ruled the bell had rung before the punch was delivered; Donovan appealed, and a rematch was ordered. In the rematch on 13 September 2025 at Windsor Park in Belfast, Crocker fought more tactically and dropped Donovan in rounds three and five, winning the fight by a split decision to claim the vacant IBF welterweight title.
