Stewart James Edward (born 1 November 1943) is a former New Zealand cricketer and dentist. He was born in Hamilton, New Zealand. Edward played as a right-handed batsman and right-arm medium-pace bowler. He appeared in three first-class matches for Otago from 1964/65 to 1967/68. In his cricket career he scored 54 runs with a batting average of 9.00, a top score of 13, and he bowled 492 deliveries, taking 2 wickets with a bowling average of 101.00; his best bowling in an innings was 2/49, and he took 3 catches.

Besides cricket, Edward trained as a dentist and practiced in Rotorua for 48 years, retiring in 2018. He also served as the board chairman of the Lakes District Health Board.

In 1997, he was appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZM) for services to dentistry and the community, and he is a Justice of the Peace (JP).
