Let That Pony Run is a country song by Pam Tillis from her album Homeward Looking Angel. It was written by Gretchen Peters and released on January 4, 1993 as the album’s second single. The song runs 3 minutes and 31 seconds and has the B-side “Fine, Fine, Very Fine Love.” It tells the story of Mary, a woman who moves to West Virginia to start over after divorcing a husband who admits to having an affair. The music video was directed by Steven Goldmann and premiered in early 1993. The single reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart, and it sits between “Shake the Sugar Tree” (1992) and “Cleopatra, Queen of Denial” (1993) in Pam Tillis’s singles lineup.
