Leland Homer Rayson (August 23, 1921 – January 8, 2001) was an American lawyer and politician from Illinois. He was born in Oak Park, Illinois. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Rochester and a law degree from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and later practiced law. He also worked in real estate and edited the North-Worth Reporter. Rayson lived in Tinley Park with his wife and family and served on the local school board. He was a Democratic member of the Illinois House of Representatives from 1965 to 1977. In 1988, he and his wife moved to Port St. Lucie, Florida. He died of cancer at Martin Memorial Hospital in Stuart, Florida. His son, John Rayson, is a lawyer who has served in the Florida Legislature.
