Laze pri Gorenjem Jezeru
Laze pri Gorenjem Jezeru is a small settlement in Slovenia. It lies next to Gorenje Jezero on the southern edge of Lake Cerknica, in the Municipality of Cerknica in the Inner Carniola region. It is part of the Littoral–Inner Carniola statistical region.
The area of Laze pri Gorenjem Jezeru is 13.23 square kilometers, and it sits at about 564 meters above sea level. In 2020, the population was 18, giving it a very low population density.
The settlement’s name was changed from Laze to Laze pri Gorenjem Jezeru in 1953 to distinguish it from other places named Laze.
West of the settlement is a church dedicated to Saint Brice, which belongs to the Parish of Stari Trg pri Ložu.
