Laura Tobón
Laura María Tobón Yepes (born January 5, 1990) is a Colombian presenter, model, singer, and YouTuber from Bogotá. She studied at Colegio Andino and then social communication with an emphasis in journalism at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. She started modeling at 15 with RCN Models, later with Grupo4, and now works independently. She has walked in major Colombian fashion shows such as Colombia Moda, Cali Exposhow, and Ixel Moda.
She married businessman Álvaro Rodríguez in 2017. In 2011 she was a finalist in Chica E! Colombia and then hosted La Rueda de la Fortuna on RCN. She later became a presenter in the channel’s entertainment department. In 2016 she hosted La voz Teens with Karen Martínez. In 2017 she hosted Dile sí al Vestido on Discovery Home & Health, and in 2018 she led La Vuelta al mundo en 80 risas and the third season of La voz Kids on Caracol Televisión. After leaving TV, she started a YouTube channel about her personal and professional life.
In 2015 she launched a swimwear line, Laura Tobón by Milonga. In 2016 she published the book La magia está dentro de ti, about happiness and inner peace. In 2018 she released a cover of Piso 21’s La vida sin ti to celebrate reaching 200,000 YouTube subscribers. She has also appeared in Luis Fonsi’s Sola from the Vida album, in both English and Spanish versions.
Laura Tobón has won TVyNovelas Awards for Best Show Business Presenter (2016) and Best Variety Presenter (2018).
