Latex Messiah (Viva la Rebel in You)
Latex Messiah (Viva la Rebel in You) is a rock song by British singer Toyah Willcox. It was released on 29 October 2007, written by Toyah and Simon Darlow, who also produced it. It was Toyah’s first single since 1994 and her first digital release, and it served as the lead single for the album In the Court of the Crimson Queen, released about a year later. The track charted on some iTunes download lists but didn’t enter the UK singles chart. A new version featuring Robert Fripp appeared on the 2023 re-recording of In the Court of the Crimson Queen. Toyah also released guerrilla-style videos for the song with photographer Dean Stockings, uploaded to her Myspace page and YouTube channel.
