Overview
- Cowra was a state electoral district in New South Wales, Australia.
- It existed from 1894 to 1904 and included the town of Cowra.
- The district was created when multi-member districts were abolished in 1893. Parts of the old Carcoar district were divided between the new districts of West Macquarie and Cowra, with some areas also moving to Orange. It covered parts of Bathurst and Forbes counties.
- In 1894, Cowra had 1,903 enrolled voters, a little below the NSW average of about 2,046.
Abolition
- The district was abolished in 1904 when the number of seats in the NSW Legislative Assembly was reduced from 125 to 90 following a referendum.
- Some of its area became part of the Belubula district.
