Książka i Wiedza
Książka i Wiedza (Book and Knowledge) is a Polish publishing house established in 1948, soon after World War II. By the mid-2010s it had published more than 13,000 titles. In communist Poland it was the leading state publisher of books on politics and history. Today it publishes non-fiction for a general audience, including popular science titles, encyclopedias, dictionaries, history, philosophy, economics, and self-help books on physical and psychological wellness. Notable authors include Max Weber, Karl Popper, Bertrand Russell, Ludwik Bazylow, Andrzej Zahorski, Henryk Samsonowicz, Nina Andrycz, and Jacek Pałkiewicz. The editor-in-chief and president is Włodzimierz Gałąska.
