Kristian Nairn is an actor and DJ from Lisburn, Northern Ireland, born on 25 November 1975. He is best known for playing Hodor in Game of Thrones (2011–2014, 2016) and for Wee John Feeney in Our Flag Means Death (2022–2023). Hodor was his first acting job, and the work helped him save enough money to buy his mother a house.

As a DJ, Nairn performs progressive house and trance music. He used to be the resident DJ at Kremlin, a gay club in Belfast. Since Game of Thrones began, he has toured as “Rave of Thrones,” using music and outfits from the show. In late 2017 he performed at a Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike concert in Antwerp and he DJed at BlizzCon events in 2016 and 2018. In 2018 he appeared in a YouTube ad for eToro featuring the Hodl meme. He is also a guitarist and played backstage with Megadeth at Hellfest in France in 2018.

Nairn has publicly discussed his sexuality. He spoke about being gay in a 2014 interview, saying it is an important part of who he is, and he described his coming out in 2015 as a second coming out since many people already knew.

In March 2023, he told the BBC that he witnessed the shooting of a policeman in Belfast in May 1997.

In August 2025, Nairn was announced as a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing, but he later withdrew from the show for medical reasons.
