Krishnapur, Murshidabad
Krishnapur is a village in the Lalgola community development block of the Lalbag subdivision in Murshidabad district, West Bengal, India. It is about 1 kilometer from the town of Lalgola.
As of the 2011 census, Krishnapur had a population of 19,462 (10,014 males and 9,448 females), with 2,715 children aged 0–6 years. The literacy rate for people over 6 years old was 67.3%. The official languages are Bengali and English. The postal PIN is 742185 and the telephone area code is 03482.
State Highway 11A passes through Krishnapur, which also has a station on the Ranaghat–Lalgola railway line. The major government hospital for the area is Krishnapur Rural Hospital, which has 50 beds.
Krishnapur falls under the Murshidabad Lok Sabha constituency and the Lalgola Vidhan Sabha constituency.
