Kishori Chand Mitra (1822–1873) was a writer, civil servant and social worker from Calcutta. He was born on May 22, 1822 in Calcutta; his ancestral home was Panisheola in Hooghly District. His brother was Peary Chand Mitra, also a writer. His father was Ramnarayan Mitra. He studied at Hindu College (later Presidency University).

From 1846 he served as deputy magistrate of Rampur-Boalia (now Rajshahi) for about eight years, and later he was police magistrate of Kolkata from 1854 to 1858. In 1859 he started the weekly newspaper Indian Field, which merged with Hindoo Patriot in 1865. He wrote for Calcutta Review, Hindoo Patriot, Bengal Spectator and Bengal Magazine. He helped found and support groups such as the Hare Memorial Society, Bethune Society, Social Science Association and Hindu Theosophical Society.

Kishori Chand Mitra died on August 6, 1873 in Calcutta. He was married to Kailashbasini Devi.
