Kiera Chaplin
Kiera Chaplin (born July 1, 1982) is a Northern Irish model, businesswoman and actress. She is Charlie Chaplin’s granddaughter and Eugene O’Neill’s great-grandson. Born in Belfast, she grew up in Corsier-sur-Vevey, Switzerland, and began modelling in Paris at 16, later working in New York and Los Angeles. She has appeared in major magazines like Vogue, Vanity Fair, and InStyle, and on covers such as Town & Country, Elle, and Harper’s Bazaar. She has done campaigns for brands including United Colors of Benetton, Tommy Hilfiger, and Armani Exchange, and was in the 2002 Pirelli Calendar. She has acted in several films and was a judge on Project Runway All Stars in 2019.
Beyond modelling, Kiera is active in philanthropy and business. In 2018 she helped launch the Chaplin Awards in Asia. Since 2019 she has been president of the Fondation Fleur du Désert in Paris. In 2020 she opened the Desert Flower School in Sierra Leone for 400 children. She designed sneakers with Hogan in 2013 and has a stake in Limelight Productions. She is connected with Bufarma, a cosmetics and fashion brand, and started SybaBliss, an online shop for diverse young women. In 2023 she founded the Golden Cane Prize, which was awarded to Vachirawit Chivaaree. She was married to Alexandre Alé de Basseville from 2004 to 2006.
