Kavnai Fort is a hill fort in the Nashik district of Maharashtra, near the village of Kavanai in Igatpuri Taluka. Today, only the main gate and a small pond remain as ruins. The village of Kavanai is connected by road to Igatpuri, which is about 18 kilometers away. Kapilatirth is located near Kavanai. The climb to the fort begins at Kavanai and follows a ridge; the final part is vertical, with rough rock steps and a ladder to help you reach the top.

Historically, the fort was built by the Mughals. After the Battle of Udgir in 1760, it was ceded to the Peshwas by the Nizam under a treaty. The fort, along with Tringalwadi and fifteen other forts, was later captured by the British army led by Col. Briggs.
